A Data Subject Access Request — a Data Principal's request to access, correct or erase their personal data.
A Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) is how a Data Principal exercises their rights — to obtain a copy of their personal data, correct inaccuracies, or request erasure. Organisations must intake, track and fulfil these within reasonable timelines, which depends on knowing where the individual's data resides across systems.
